132,000 people are still detained by the Syrian regime

More than 132,000 people are still detained by the Syrian regime, and more than 87,000 are forcibly disappeared.

Only 476 people were committed by the amnesty decree 7/2022, which includes “terrorist crimes committed by Syrians except those that led to the death of a human being”.

The release of detainees in Syrian prisons, and disclosing the fate of the forcibly disappeared, is a basic demand without which transitional justice will not be achieved.
