On 22 March 2019, TDA Excutive Director Mutasem Al-Syoufi participated in a 3-day training workshop on gender-based justice. The workshop was organized by Syrian Women League in Beirut, Lebanon. The following topics were discussed:
- Importance of deepening the concept of gender and gender roles
- Gender analysis of violence during armed conflict
- Violence against women in Syrian context
- The legal framework governing the rights of women in Syria
- Reasons for the need gender justice
- Legal and institutional reform and gender sensitivity
- National consultations and accountability
- Gendering truth commissions and reparations
