In a conflict that has turned into a tug-of-war between global superpowers, the voice of Syrian civil society is at risk for being excluded from decisions that will shape the future of Syria. TDA strongly believes that a just and peaceful transition in Syria cannot be achieved without the input and support of Syrians of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions.
Through TDA’s public opinion program, we aim to amplify the voices of Syrian civil society on key topics related to political transition and to shed light on their priorities, needs, and experiences. To date, TDA has produced more than a dozen field surveys that cover a variety of topics, such as decentralization, constitutional design, women’s rights in Syrian society, sectarianism, and transitional justice.
Through this program, TDA aims to provide policy-makers, negotiators, and other stakeholders with the opinions and perspectives of representatives samples of Syrian civil society to be factored into decision-making processes.
