In an attempt to ensure control of opposition areas and restructure the demographic makeup of the country, the Assad regime has passed legislation – including Law No. 10 of 2018 – that threatens the property rights of Syrians internally displaced and abroad.
TDA works with experts on housing, land, and property (HLP) to monitor the regime’s legislation on property rights and their implications for Syrian citizens. In addition, TDA convenes with representatives of refugee and displaced communities to share the latest news on HLP, as well as to advise and inform representatives on how Syrian citizens can advocate for and protect their property rights.
