15 March 2019 – To mark the occasion of International Woman’s Day 2019, TDA’s Communicators Team held a celebration event in Azaz, northen Aleppo, in collaboration with the Souriana Al Amal team.
TDA invited 35 women from local councils, CSOs (Civil Defence- Basmet Amal- Baladna), Aleppo Free University students and house wives to encourage women with passive attitude towards civil and political cycle to enroll in possible aspects of civic life by honoring active women and having them speaking about challenges they faced and how they overcome it with true determination on keeping women’s role active and vital, especially in facing huge issues like gender-based violence and former detained women’s stigma.
