Land Registry Violations in Azaz and Al-Rai

This report, documents the absence of good governance and the poor performance of real estate institutions after these areas came out of the control of the former Syrian regime, along with the spread of favoritism and the misuse of official stamps seized from land registry offices to provide a veneer of legitimacy to illegal sales. These practices harmed the rights of original property owners and created legal disputes that threaten social stability.
