1 May 2019 – On 22nd of April 2019, TDA team held a discussion session titled “The Concepts of Civil Society and the Role of Civil Teams” in Marea, northern Aleppo countryside, in collaboration with the local women’s office in the city. The session aimed to exhibit the importance of local civil teams’ work and the necessity of communication and collaboration between these teams for the prosperity of civil society work.
The session was attended by 13 women. TDA Communicator Maha Afadly, discussed with the attendees the importance of civil society organizations and institutions, their role in building communication between authority and society, and shedding the light on social issues and seeking solutions. Maha also discussed the role and importance of civil teams in enhancing civil society through their voluntary work, and campaigns that advocate for community issues.
