Since the Democratic Union Party (PYD) announced the establishment of the Democratic Self-Administration, discussions around decentralization in Syria have remarkably come into light. Amplifying the debate further was the call of Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, to test the possibility of establishing federal rule in Syria. But what do the Syrian people want? This survey examines the attitudes of Syrians toward the issues of decentralization, federalism, and democratic self-administration.
