Survey Studies

Few if any mechanisms currently exist for channeling Syrian views concerning the future of their country up to high-level conversations. Surveys are one way to do that. TDA’s 25 trained surveyors have successfully conducted six surveys to date on transitional justice and rule of law; negotiations; sectarianism; federalism and decentralization; local truces and ceasefires; and the performance of local administrations. The activity aims to connect communities that are increasingly divided and isolated from each other by the conflict through an incremental process of sharing respondents’ views from “both sides.”
